Note: On an expedition to the New World with her relative, Jean-François de la Rocque de Roberval, this Person became the lover of a young man on board the ship. Displeased with the affair, Roberval left her on the Isle of Demons in the Gulf of St. Laurence, off the coast of Quebec. She survived by hunting while marooned on the island, and was rescued by fishermen and returned to France several years later.
