About CBW Biography Records
CBW contains more than 14,000 chapters in its collective biographies. We have not identified the tables of contents of all 1271 volumes in the bibliography of English-language collective biographies of women. We are identifying the form types of these chapters: Primary Woman subject; Two Primary Female Subjects; historical events; fiction, and so on.
A Biography Record has
- Title field. Many chapter titles include the name of a person, or you may search by known title.
- Narrative type search. Search by all types and click “any of the selected types” to get a long list of chapters that have been assigned any of the narrative types. Or find chapters that take on type of form. To clear the menu, click select all/none till checks disappear.
- Unique ID search field.
- Search for chapters that have BESS analysis by checking that box.
- Filters may be combined.
