Note: Child's entry is focused on the naval officer, friend of Nelson at Trafalgar, etc. Married in 16 June 1791 in Newcastle, daughter of John Erasmus Blackett, a well-to-do merchant and four times mayor of Newcastle. Her husband, when named vice-admiral, was created Baron Collingwood of Caldburne and Hethpoole, two small properties she inherited (ODNB). Two daughters; title could not be inherited by them.
